Pumpkin Spice Cake for Thanksgiving

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups pumpkin

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • Grease 8x11 inch pan. 
  • Combine all dry ingredients.
  • Add oil and then add eggs, one at a time mixing after each addition.
  • Stir in pumpkin.
  • Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake on center rack of the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. 
  • Cool completely on wire rack.
  • Add frosting if desired.
