How to Make a Thanksgiving Turkey Craft
Turkey crafts are a great way to add a personal touch to your Thanksgiving feast. This easy Dollar Tree project will make your holiday table or buffet table stand out. So get creative and have fun!
Step One
Create a pattern for the “feathers” out of a scrap piece of cardboard.
Step Two
Cut off the edge of the cookie sheet being careful not to cut yourself as it is sharp.
Step Three
Cut feather shapes out of the cookie sheets using the cardboard pattern as a guide.
Step Four
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to each cookie sheet feather using the foam brush.
Step Five
Separate napkins by removing all additional layers leaving only pattern printed layer behind.
Quick Tip: Use a small piece of tape on the corner of the napkin to release the additional layers.
Step Six
Press the napkin layer onto the cookie sheet feather, flip over and trim excess.
Step Seven
Using a Sharpie, color the edge of the pizza pan to make it black.
Step Eight
Hot glue feathers onto the pizza pan in a fan-like pattern.
Step Nine
Remove the “poison” bottle from the Dollar Tree Halloween sign.
Take off the little tie that held it to the sign.
Step Ten
Paint the bottle and add a few embellishments like googly eyes, a nose, and a bow tie. I added arms and an outline using a white chalk pen. Finally hot glue him to the pizza pan.
Step Eleven
Display your cute Thanksgiving turkey craft on an easel or hang it by adding a zip tie to the back with hot glue.
