How to Make an Easy Macrame Wall Hanging

Here’s how to make your own cute and spooky macrame wall-hanging ghost decoration! This project is perfect for adding a touch of whimsy to your Halloween decor.

Step One

Glue each of the rope strands to the rainbow backing alternatively you can use a piece of foam board in place of the rainbow backing.

Once you get to the opening of the rainbow, glue the rope pieces to each other as shown.

Step Two

Unravel each strand of rope at the bottom mimicking the look of real macramé. This will give it a curly look that is so cute!

Step Three

Trim off any loose rope ends and even up at the bottom if desired.

Step Four

Cut out three circles for eyes and mouth out of black felt and hot glue them onto the ghost.

Step Five

Make a cute bow out of scrap ribbon and add a piece of bling to the center if desired. Attach with hot glue.

Step Six

Reattach the original jute rope hanger for the rainbow decor.
